How To Consistently Make AT A MINIMUM $2000+ for 12 hours of work per month

Want a simple example?

Most people realize that some of the highest paying affiliate commissions you can receive are from hosting companies. Here are some of the more well-known hosting company affiliate structures:

1-5 sales = $50 / signup
6-10 sales = $75 / signup
11-20 sales = $100 / signup
21+ sales = $125 / signup

As you can see, there is a lot of money to be made, especially if you can sell several hosting packages per month. So of course, everyone is trying to promote these products online and the landscape is extremely competitive.

HOWEVER, selling these hosting packages offline is very easy if done cleverly.

Who needs hosting packages?

People who need a website.

Who needs websites these days?

Just about everybody and their mother.

Who offers websites?

Just about everybody and their mother.

How much do these companies charge for a website?

A LOT!

So what to start doing?

OFFERING FREE WEBSITE DESIGN CLASSES.

Print up simple paper fliers at home and posted them all over town…at university campuses, in libraries, and other public areas. They can look something like this:

I am offering FREE website design classes on Sundays from 6-9 pm at the public library. Make sure to bring your laptop and a credit card (to buy a domain and hosting account) and you will be walking out of there with a website – GUARANTEED! If you need a blog or website for any reason, you don’t want to miss this opportunity.

Please call or email if you are attending so I can get an idea of how many people are showing up. I look forward to teaching you!

That’s it. Obviously you will switch up the time and location, but that’s all you need to put on your flier.

Now, as everybody should know, nothing in the world is ever free. And even though I’m technically offering “free” classes, every person that shows up to that class is paying. Yes, you already figured it out…they are signing up through my affiliate link.

And guess what? I’ve found that by simply telling the people that show up at the class why you are doing “free” classes, they are happy to sign up for a domain registrar AND hosting account through affiliate links:

“Hi everyone and welcome to my free class.  You might be wondering why I am offering a class for FREE on how to make a website. Well, to make a website, you have to buy a domain and a hosting account – you can’t make a website without those things (don’t worry, it costs less than $10 / year for a domain and less than $10 / month for hosting). If you purchase those products through me, I will make a commission, but the price won’t change at all for you. Let’s start and I’ll walk you through the process of buying a domain. Please go my website and click on the Go Daddy link…”

So as you can guess, it’s easy to make more than $2,000 per month by doing this – the numbers I’m giving are extremely conservative. 20 customers (5 per class) * $100 per referral = $2,000.

There usually are more than 20 customers per month and you get commissions for domain registrars AND hosting.

And guess what else? At the end of my class tell everyone about your website and ask them to sign up for your mailing list. You get to promote my website and get 20 extra subscribers to your newsletter per month.

Needless to say, be happy to teach every person in that class how to make a website when you’ve made at least $100 off of each person that showed up. Show them how to install WordPress and teach them all how to use it. And be glad to help people make whatever kind of website that they want.

People leave extremely happy from the classes because they got a website for exactly what it costs and no more (plus the knowledge of how to update it themselves), and you’re happy because you just made several hundreds of dollars. It’s a win-win-win-win-win.

So start thinking of ways to make money from your affiliate links OFFLINE and you’ll be surprised at how many opportunities there really are.

There’s Always Room For Beer

A friend posted this on Facebook. I have no clue who wrote it. However, I think it’s worth sharing. Enjoy:

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, he wordlessly picked up a very large and empty mayonnais

e jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full.. The students responded with a unanimous ‘yes.’

The professor then produced two Beers from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar effectively filling the empty space between the sand.The students laughed..

‘Now,’ said the professor as the laughter subsided, ‘I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things—-your family, your children, your health, your friends and your favorite passions—-and if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full. The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house and your car.. The sand is everything else—-the small stuff.

‘If you put the sand into the jar first,’ he continued, ‘there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life.

If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff you will never have room for the things that are important to you.

Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.

Spend time with your children. Spend time with your parents. Visit with grandparents. Take your spouse out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house and mow the lawn.

Take care of the golf balls first—-the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the Beer represented. The professor smiled and said, ‘I’m glad you asked.’ The Beer just shows you that no matter how full your life may seem, there’s always room for a couple of Beers with a friend.

Mind Mapping For High-Speed Brainstorming

If you aren’t familiar with mind mapping yet, perhaps it’s time to learn about it.

In short, mind mapping is a marvelous method of planning, thinking and discovering ideas, tasks, concepts, strategies and goals.

More specifically, mind mapping is a drawn diagram that you use to generate new ideas, structure your thoughts and the like. Taking a key concept placed in the middle, you diagram out words, ideas and tasks in a radiating circle. It really helps with the visualization process!

In a nutshell, it’s a way to utilize the right side of your brain (responsible for creativity) when planning stuff… and I’m talking about anything imaginable like Web sites, products, projects, services, to-do lists, concepts, . For some people (like me), it goes much faster than writing it down in lists, phrases or full sentences.

After doing some mind mapping, you will find that the big picture becomes much clearer to you, even down to the most minute detail. An additional use is that it’s good for a study aid, in working out organizational problems… or actually any issue.

It gives you freedom to think, not constricting you to any one method or linear way of planning. The freedom means, in my view, that you can come up with new and different ideas — ones that may not have come to you in any other way.

You simply write down a central idea. Then you think up other related ideas that radiate out from that center. As you put these additional thoughts down on paper, online or offline, I think you’ll find you will understand and remember all these points much better.

Another neat thing about mind mapping is that you can use your own personal symbols and designs to stand for whatever you want. Besides that, you can add colors, arrows and so on to your heart’s content. Get creative!

Offline, I personally like to use brown package paper of a decent size.

Online, I prefer professional software for my mind mapping endeavors… Mindjet’s MindManager.

Occasionally, though, I changed recently, however, as I found some really good free programs available.

To students I recommended (and still do) Freemind, an open source software. But I while ago I’ve found an online mind mapping application that’s really good — and from a German company! — called mindmeister.com. It’s free to sign up and create a handful of mind maps, and it has the standard features of the more sophisticated MindManager software you otherwise have to pay $$$ for.

As I said, this is really priceless for planning out Web sites, products, events… the list is endless! 🙂 You can brainstorm, strategize and plan in so much more dynamic ways.

This is good news for those of you who need that extra spark for your planning or brainstorming. And the Mindmeister Internet portal is excellent because you have your maps accessible anywhere in the world and can work on them whenever and wherever you want. (Plus, you can share them & collaborate with others.)

The direct sales industry offers people multiple ways to earn an income. Besides this, multi-level marketing and network marketing provides massive amounts of room for professional growth and advancement.

Network marketers have the ability to build a downline team built up of network marketers as well. Through this, the leaders are able to earn from the sales of their team as well as themselves. However, to fully benefit from having a downline a person must have good leadership skills. Not every person is ready or has what it takes to become a leader. Are You Teachable?

I’ve been more than blessed to be surrounded almost my entire life by amazing musicians and performers. From the time I was 12 I started learning how to work front of house sounds on a 32-4-2 Mackie VLZ board. It’s that clear in my mind still. And I remember when my mentor, in my first week, knew that I had got it. We were applying an Eventide Harmonizer to some vocal inputs that were being used for puppets. I was taught that the effects return had to be used in pre-fade so that we only got the effect and not the real vocal plus the effect. The pre-fade button was small and located towards the top of the board. My mentor was wondering for a few seconds why things weren’t sounding right when I pointed out what he had just taught me. The pre-fade button was not pressed in. I can still see the look on his face when looked at me and knew that I “got it.” I didn’t understand signal flow or how to properly mix a full band at the time but I had paid attention and learned.

In the coming years (from 12 to 17) I learned A LOT. I got cocky running sound for 1000+ person concerts in my early teens. I also got yelled at my fair share of times for being cocky. Hey, I was 15 and doing something really cool really well. I needed some humbling which at the time I didn’t appreciate. I pushed equipment to the limit and beyond (I caused a few thousand dollars worth of repairs during my “louder is more intense” phase. Until I learned loudness minus clarity is nothing). I learned to be a musician with faders and knobs. I learned how the engineer is a musician in themselves and how behind the scenes can be more gratifying than on stage. My Story

It took me 5 years to write this. For the past two years, I’ve shared it with those close to me. Co-workers, friends, and anybody else I felt would appreciate or learn from it. I’ve since updated it this year with a few new thoughts. I wrote this September 11, 2006, at 2am Central Standard Time.

My Story:

For half the country right now it is September 11, 2006. Five years ago was September 11, 2001. We all know what happened. No need to explain. However, it will be today that people will ask me to tell them what I was doing, what it was like, and many other questions as I am from New York City and was a senior in high school in Manhattan on the day of the mass murders. So here it goes.

As any other day, my first class was second period and started at 9am. As any other day, I was late. I emerged from the subway into the concrete jungle of Manhattan at 96th Street and Lexington Ave. Little did I know one of the towers was already burning as I walked to my school in my own world.
